
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy witnesses the signing of an MoU between Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Ltd. and TGUK Technologies Pvt. Ltd. & other, in Japan.
The Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Ltd. (TOMCOM), an arm of the Telangana Department of Labour, Employment, and Training, signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with TERN (TGUK Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) and Raj Group in Tokyo on Saturday.
This collaboration is aimed at facilitating the recruitment of skilled professionals from Telangana to meet the growing workforce demands in Japan across several high-demand sectors.
TERN Group specialises in international recruitment for the software, engineering, and specified skilled worker sectors within Japan.
Raj Group, in partnership with Tsukui Corporation Ltd, a leading nursing care employer in Japan, has been working with TOMCOM for training and recruitment of caregivers. The new MoU will expand the collaboration to non-health sectors.
The two Japanese employers have jointly indicated a requirement for 500 people in the next 1-2 years in healthcare, engineering, hospitality and construction.
The agreements were signed during the ongoing visit of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Appeal to Telugus
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister addressed a meeting organised by the Japan Telugu Federation.
Addressing the gathering, he said the State achieved a lot of progress in the IT and pharma sectors. “We are planning to establish a Dry Port in the State. I request you to come forward for the development of the State,” he said.
The Chief Minister, along with his team, visited the River Front in the Japanase Capital to take a look at the facilities there, a government statement said here on Saturday.
The Congress Government has chalked out a plan to revive the river Musi in Hyderabad and develop a River Front.
