Teddi Mellencamp, known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” recently opened up about a significant moment in her recovery after brain surgery.
On February 26, she shared a black and white video on Instagram that showed her having surgical staples taken out from the back of her head. The touching clip captured her emotional response as the last staple was removed, with her loved ones around her offering cheers and encouragement.

Mellencamp’s health journey began on February 12 when she was admitted to the hospital due to severe headaches. After undergoing a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors in her brain, which they believed had been developing for at least six months. Initially, she thought only a few tumors would be removed during the surgery, while the others would be treated with radiation.
On February 26, Mellencamp updated her followers about her surgery, sharing that four tumors were successfully removed—more than she had expected.
She expressed her gratitude for the medical team and her family’s unwavering support, recognizing that while she had won this round in her health battle, the fight was far from over. Mellencamp also thanked everyone for their love and prayers, which she said helped her remain strong during this tough time.
In addition to her brain surgery, Mellencamp has been facing a long-term struggle with skin cancer. Over the years, she has had more than 17 melanoma spots removed.
While she hasn’t confirmed if her brain tumors are linked to her previous skin cancer, it’s known that melanoma can spread to the brain in its advanced stages.
