- Meghan Markle Faces Plagiarism Accusations Over New Brand Logo, the logo bears a striking resemblance to a Spanish town’s coat of arms.
- Legal action is being considered by officials in Porreres.
- The logo incorporates elements symbolic of the Sussexes’s life in California.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is under scrutiny for potential plagiarism regarding the logo of her newly rebranded lifestyle company, As Ever. The issue arises from the logo’s striking resemblance to the coat of arms of Porreres, a quaint town located on the island of Mallorca, Spain.
The As Ever logo showcases a palm tree accompanied by two birds, closely mirroring the historical coat of arms of Porreres. This Spanish coat of arms, thought to be over 600 years old, also features a palm tree nestled between two birds. Xisca Mora, the mayor of Porreres, has voiced her astonishment at the similarities and is contemplating legal action against Markle.

Mora shared with a local newspaper that the resemblance is “surreal,” and the town hall is actively considering legal steps. She commented,
“I don’t know if she visited agritourism sites and came across the coat of arms, because the image on her website appears to be from Mallorca.”
Reports indicate that the town’s officials are deliberating on whether to pursue legal action. Ms. Mora Veny emphasized their desire to protect their coat of arms, asserting that it rightfully belongs to Porreres.
Markle’s new brand, As Ever, is a rebranding of her previous lifestyle company, American Riviera Orchard. The new name was revealed on Instagram just days before the debut of her Netflix show.
The Spanish village of Porreres is considering legal action against Meghan Markle, accusing her of copying its coat of arms for the logo of her brand, As Ever.

A source close to Markle mentioned that the logo holds special significance for the Sussexes, incorporating elements that symbolize their life in California. The palm tree in the logo pays homage to their California home, while the two hummingbirds are said to be Prince Harry’s favorites.
